Altar cloth

Here we collect altar cloths – textiles used as a base for altars or to create a delimited space for objects.

The fabrics are placed as a base on which objects are arranged, either permanently or temporarily. They can be used in the home, in ceremonial contexts or as part of a deliberately designed space.

Unlike table cloths, altar cloths are more often used as an open surface rather than for folding and enclosing contents.
