Lavender has been used and cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and countless benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used lavender for bathing, relaxation, cooking, and as a perfume.
Lavender is often applied topically to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes. It can be added to bathwater or applied to the temples and neck to soak away stress. Adding a few drops of lavender to pillows, bedding, or the soles of your feet can help you relax and prepare for a good night’s sleep. Due to lavender’s versatile properties, it is considered the oil to have on hand at all times.
