Pachamama & Pachatata from Peru. A ceremonial pair with holes for hanging that can be used as pendants or on mesa and altars.
This set consists of Pachamama and Pachatata , two smaller ceremonial figures inspired by the Andean cosmovision.
Pachamama , Mother Earth, represents nature, life and the nourishing power on which all living things depend. Pachatata is associated with the sky, the masculine aspects and the creative principle. Together they symbolize balance, reciprocity and the interplay between earth and sky – fundamental values within the Andean tradition.
The figures are used by many as part of a mesa, on an altar or in ceremonies.
Each pair is made in Peru and has a silver-colored metal finish. Slight variations in shape and finish are a natural part of the craftsmanship.
In Andean tradition, Pachamama and Pachatata represent the reciprocal relationship between earth and sky. They remind us of the importance of balance, respect, and ayni – the principle of reciprocity – that permeates many Andean ceremonies and ways of life.
