Altar cloth
These larger cloths are made by Shamans in ceremony. It is a craft that takes up to 6 months to weave. From the process of taking Alpaca wool and colors from nature and then weaving the cloth. During the process, they fill the cloth with love, prayers and praise and link the energy to the one who will wear the cloth. Each cloth is unique and has a different meaning from the cosmology of the Andes. These cloths are used in ceremony as altar cloth to hold other medicine tools through ceremony. This cloth is also worn as a cloak, traditionally by the women through ceremony instead of the man's poncho.
