A mala is originally a Hindu and Buddhist tool for prayer and meditation. It is used to count mantras during meditation. A mantra is a collection of words, often from Sanskrit, that are repeated several times - traditionally 108 times. While rehearsing, one should focus on the meaning and vibration of the words, possibly in combination with the accompanying visualization. By practicing a meditation exercise like this, one's thoughts come to rest and the body relaxes. Nowadays, a mala is also worn as a fashion accessory.

SERFOR-certified Palo Santo products

This Palo Santo comes from forests managed, approved and certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (SERFOR) in Peru. Only Palo Santo trees and branches that have fallen naturally and been on the ground for at least 3 to 4 years are used. This method of harvesting does not harm nature and only wood with a rich aroma is used.
